I have been working in the industry since 2005. I earned my license through a hands-on apprentiship program offered at MATC and through a salon in my hometown of DeForest.
After 6 years of being an employee in DeForest, Oregon, and then Sun Prairie, I got a chance to make a lifelong dream come true and opened Bella Donna Salon in July of 2011.
Although I do both hair and nail services in the salon, my true passion is in nail technology. I started concentrating on nails in the last two years and have expanded my education and expertise in the field. Last year I obtained my CND Grandmaster Nail Professional credential.
Even though I have completed school, I make it a goal to never stop learning. I am also an Education Ambassador for CND, traveling around the US to help other nail professionals continue their education and certifying them as CND Shellac Certified Pro's, Master Nail Technicians, and Grandmaster Nail Professionals.
I have taken classes and learned from some of the industry greats such as: Jan Arnold, Doug Schoon, Tabitha Coffey, Nick Arrojo, Fernando Romero, Eric Fischer, and more.
In addition to my passion for the industry, I also have a passion for health. I choose to keep the salon as chemical free as I can. I use product lines that are extensively researched and are as healthy an option as possible. I use ammonia free color lines and gluten and paraben-free product lines. For more info on these lines, please check out the products page. In keeping with my healthy philosophy, I also utilize Young Living Essential Oils for cleaning as a natural alternative to traditional cleaning products. These are also available to purchase through me as a distributor.
